Meet Napoleon M. Douglas as No Max

I grew up in the small Midwest City of Des Moines, Iowa. My upbringing was heavy in activities: arts, sports, and community service. What took up most of my time was drumming in the Isiserettes Drill and Drum Corps., Track and Field, NAACP and Church.

Growing up in the Baptist Church I was heavily involved in both music ministries and pantomime ministries. These really refined my young natural talent and grew my comfort in performing in front of people. As I got older, I became more interested in Math, Spanish and Sports, but always kept performance around. In High School, my participation in Show Choir, Theatre, Gospel and Chamber Choirs at school - again aligned with the percussion in Isiserettes - became the strongest influences of me becoming an artist.

Prior to this production I had never heard of the show, so auditioning for this company was my introduction. My favorite part of the show is singing with the 5 Moes in “Is You Is or Is You Ain’t My Baby”.

Favorite shows include Sweeney Todd, Dreamgirls, Ragtime, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Jesus Christ Superstar. My dream role is Toby in Sweeney Todd

This is my WBT Debut! I love how close we are to the city - feels like it is in our backyard.

When not on stage, I enjoy playing and watching sports. I also love watching videos on Youtube: Animals, Sports, SNL, the News.

In music, Hip-Hop and R&B are what I listen to most.
