It is a pleasure to welcome back this Phantom"

"Kate Rockwell, with a lovely soprano voice, gives a stirring and beautiful performance." "Sandy Rosenthal is sensational in her role as the loathsome Carlotta, with her perfect timing and facial expressions and great expressive voice. "A magnificent Kate Rockwell, whose remarkable vocal range is equaled only by her ability to breathe life into a farm girl who arrives in Paris with a song in her heart. Rockwell is a first-rate actress." "Ramey's voice is at turns powerful and tremulous. He finds the nuance that some might find lacking in the Broadway Phantom. His command of the role is complete down to his cape twirling exits. "Carlotta, played to perfection by the hilarious Sandy Rosenberg. Phantom makes a magical return to WBT in Elmsford. "This is not Andrew Lloyd Weber's The Phantom of the Opera, this one is better."
THE NEWS TIMES (Chesley Plemmons) "Let's settle the debate about which of two dueling musicals is best. Phantom by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit or Phantom Of The Opera by Andrew Lloyd Weber. In my book, Phantom which has returned to Westchester Broadway Theatre is the hands-down winner." "The production is a beautiful combination of period costumes and elaborate sets. George Puello & Steve Loftus have outdone themselves in opulence and gold glitter. Gail Baldoni's lush and elegant costumes have a fresh look often missing in costume dramas." "The large cast shines both vocally and dramatically."

PHANTOM is haunting, poignant, musically compelling, replete with intriguing characters, fully dimensional and bursting at the seams with talent both on the stage and in the hands of the technical staff. THE CHEAPPOP.COM(Gary Chattman) This version by Kopit and Yeston is superior in so many ways to that of the Andrew Lloyd Weber incarnation. Kate Rockwell as Christine excels here for her acting and singing prowess and rivals that of original Broadway diva, Sarah Brightman. I have mentioned many times The benefits of going to the WBT instead of traipsing to Broadway to pay Broadway prices, parking fees and traffic. These shows are far superior to much that is on Broadway and the talent is unsurpassed."
WHITE PLAINS CITIZEN NET REPORTER(John F. Bailey) "The first time you hear Kate Rockwell's shimmering and haunting voice as Christine, you are enchanted." "Ms Rockwell's and Mr. Ramey's voices soar. Their duets touch deep into the soul, the electricity of them crackles in the theatre. Their romantic chemistry delivers an emotional Phantom that never lets go of your heart and builds to a climax you will not soon forget." Ms. Rockwell has it all; range: with a confident finesse and control, flowing, sparkling out into the theatre; essence: this woman takes you from the depths of pity to the height of hope to "the stuff that dreams are made of" with her stop-you-in-your-tracks voice; credibility: her sense of movement, her expressions, her warmth and way with the lyricist's words, make hers a voice you will fall for too. "Aaron Ramey creates a Phantom any woman would fall in love with. His voice commands. "Fasten your seatbelts for action, hold tight to your heartstrings and pine with the star-crossed Christine and Eric. I loved this Phantom!"

Kate Rockwell interview
"The audiences seem to love the show, which is fantastic. We love it too and put so much of ourselves into it, and it is so nice to see them responding the way they do at the end of the show. I have had women and men come up to me after the show and say "thank you so much, it was great-I cried," and that is just the perfect thing to hear. I usually tell them, "I cried too" because I cry every show still!" Stay tuned for our full interview with Phantom's Kate Rockwell!
