Six of the greatest LATIN ballroom dance superstar couples in the world present their exciting shows here. You’ll see it all…from the plains of Argentina will come the dramatic Argentine Tango and from other countries throughout the world sambas, rumbas, the Cha, cha, cha, Mambo and Paso Dobles.
The Argentine Tango was brought to life on the plains of the Argentine pampas by that country’s sheep herders over 150 years ago.There is no better team of dancers who have captured the spirit of these gauchos than Argentinians, Walter Perez & Leonardo Sardella . Perez & Sardella, “who are partners on and off the dance floor,” have been dancing to sold-out audiences throughout the world. Not only has the pair captured the culture of the Argentine Tango but dance it with the manly power of the gauchos who originated it.
Spain’s professional Latin champions, Manuel Trillo and Anastasia Zhitova will be making their second appearance in the United States. The couple has won 28 major competitions encompassing 11 countries and are also Spain’s 10-dance (Latin and Ballroom Champions) .They call home “La Isla de Arosa, a small island off the coast of Northwest Spain. Zhitova is originally from Siberia.
Shane & Shannon Jensen, are “mambo masters” and also compete in American rhythm competitions throughout North America. Silver medalists for the World Cabaret title and teach out of the Metropolitan Dance Center in Stamford, CT.
Tal Livshitz & Ilana Keselman, the greatest Latin dancers ever to come out of Israel. “The chemistry in their dancing is undeniable,” wrote Dance Beat, America’s major reporter for Latin dancing news.
Jorge Torres and Maria Blanco, recognized as one of the world’s greatest Argentine Tango couples. Torres was “Captain of Dancers” on Broadway in “Forever Tango” and was nominated for a Tony Award for best choreography of a show. The beautiful Miss Blanco has performed throughout the world and produced and directed “What A Woman Wants From a Man in Tango”. A show for both men and women.
Pasha Pashkov & Daniella Karagach, from Russia, are now the reigning 3-times United States National Latin Champions. Grand Finalists for the European title in Tallin, Estonia, and semi-finalists for the World title in Tokyo, Japan. Earlier this year they were the top American team and Grand Finalists at Blackpool, England.
