“Million Dollar Quartet” WOW!!

This production, without a doubt, is one of the finest shows I have seen anywhere!   From the moment the lights went up, the audience was caught up in this high-energy show and remained so through the end, leaving us wanting even more.

Director, Hunter Foster, assembled a multi-talented cast who could sing, act and play musical instruments seemingly effortlessly.  John Michael Presney (Carl Perkins), Sky Seals (Johnny Cash), and Ari McKay Wilford (Elvis Presley) portrayed their characters to perfection, both vocally and through their authentic and subtle demeanor.  Dominique Scott wowed the audience with his vocal and musical skills as well as his over-the-top portrayal of Jerry Lee Lewis.

Rounding out the exceptional music was Sam Weber (Brother Jay) bass and David Sonneborn (Fluke) on drums.  Jason Loughlin as Sam Phillips did an expert job narrating the story and even surprised us with a little musical skill of his own.  Bligh Voth as Dyanne was not only a visual treat, but knocked it out of the park vocally with “Fever” and “I Hear You Knocking”.

The nostalgia was running rampant throughout the theater with those oldies but goodies, “Blue Suede Shoes”, “I Walk the Line”, “See You Later Alligator”, “Hound Dog”, “Great Balls of Fire”, “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and many more.  There was a lot of humming going on as the audience was leaving.

The production continues through September 11th.  Since the word is out,  I suggest that you make your reservations early. This is a show you don’t want to miss.  For reservations, call 914-592-2222.
